Why are the stores where I used to buy Basis no longer carrying it?

Are all Basis products fragrance free?

No, only Basis Sensitive Skin Bar is fragrance free. All other products have a light, clean scent so they are pleasant to use.

Can I use Basis if I have eczema, psoriasis or rosacea?

For many years, dermatologists have been recommending Basis to their patients with dry / sensitive skin or patients who have acne or acne-prone skin. Its best to follow the advice of your physician before using any product.

Where can I buy the large "bonus" size bars?

At different times of the year, Basis offers a 5.3 oz bonus bar. It is difficult to provide store information as not all retailers will carry the special promotion pack at the same time. Best time to find the bonus bars in stores is Spring and early Fall.

Does Basis have a facial cleanser for sensitive skin?

Yes. The Basis Sensitive Skin Bar is formulated for dry, sensitive skin. Basis does not have a liquid facial cleanser for sensitive skin at this time.

Will the Soaps or Cleaner Clean Face Wash remove eye make up?

Basis Soaps and face washes are great for the rest of your face, but your eyes need special care. We recommend that you first remove eye make up with an eye make up remover product that has been ophthalmologist tested.

Are Basis products tested on animals?

No, our company does not test products on animals. Product safety is important to us and all product clinical and product safety tests are conducted via comparable, high- technology testing methods that do not involve animals.

What is the shelf life for Basis products?

Basis Soaps, Face Wash and Facial Cleansing Cloths are designed to be effective and safe for use for two years. The Basis All Clear Bar has an expiration date, as required by the FDA, because it has triclosan, a time-sensitive active ingredient that fights bacteria. You'll find the expiration date printed on the box. Although none of the products will be harmful after two years, we recommend that you replace any unused product if it does not look or smell right.

Can I get an ingredients list for your products?

The ingredients list for each Basis product is displayed on its packaging. If you have sensitivity to a particular ingredient, we suggest that you talk to your doctor.

Are there any basis moisturizers?

No. Basis products are all cleansers. Beiersdorf, the makers of Basis, has two other skin care brands, NIVEA and Eucerin. If your skin tends to be more sensitive or dry and you prefer products without a fragrance, we would recommend Eucerin products for you (www.Eucerinus.com). There is no body wash in the line. While Basis Cleaner Clean Face Wash has been formulated for the special needs of facial skin, you could also use it on your body.
